Fancy a career as a veterinary nurse? This course combines together study at our Houghall campus with an extended placement in a veterinary surgery.

Train to be a professional arborist (tree surgeon) at East Durham College's stunning Houghall campus, home to a wide variety of rare trees.

Further your veterinary nursing qualification with this Level 3 programme. Upon completion, you'll be able to apply for professional registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

This course covers both tree pruning (formally CS40); aerial pruning operations and looks at crown thinning, crown pruning, crown reduction and pollarding, and aerial tree rigging (formally CS41).

Functional Skills English fast track courses are designed to develop practical skills that will help you in life and the workplace. We offer a range of sessions throughout the week at different locations and are committed to helping our students achieve their goals.

We offer GCSE English courses part-time, with the option to study during the day or an evening. Both options are usually three hours per week with some independent study involved too. This course is ideal for anyone without a GCSE in English, or who would like to improve their grade.

This course is designed for any person employed in arboriculture, forestry, horticulture, landscaping and grounds maintenance who is or will be required to operate wood chippers.
